The work Elementos (2018) for piano trio was selected by the jury of the ISCM (International Society for Contemporary Music) and will feature in the World New Music Days 2025, to take place in Lisbon and Porto, Portugal. The piece Vacuum Instability (2013) will be performed in Ponta Delgada, Açores, on the 16th of November 2024 by the Ponta Delgada Sinfonietta. More details soon.
A new text is now published by Documenta, Sistema Solar. ‘The composer facing sound reality’ (O compositor frente à realidade sonora) is featured amongst other texts on sound by fellow researchers and provides an updated view on what involves being a composer today. It analyses the historical and technical developments since the beginning of the twentieth century up to our time.
A new CD by saxophone player Ricardo Pires has been released and features the piece Wandering (2008, rev. 2022) for alto sax and electronics. It is edited by mpmp. The CD was launched at Museu Nacional da Música.
