Recordings with CHROMA

This November, recordings of the piece Dégradé will take place in London with the wonderful CHROMA Ensemble, conducted by Christopher Austin. This recording will also be part of an upcoming CD to be announced soon.

Here is a photo taken before the recording session at Goldsmiths Music Studios:

Recordings with ensemble recherche

In December, two pieces will be recorded by the wonderful ensemble recherche at the Ensemblehaus, in Freiburg. The first piece is called A Walk in the Countryside, which was premiered by Martin Fahlenbock (Recherche’s flutist) back in 2016. The second piece is called Elementos, for piano trio, and was premiered by Trio Adamastor at Casa da Música in 2018.

Here are some photos from the recording session:

Åsa Åkerberg (cello), Moritz Bergfeld (engineer), Klaus Steffes-Holländer (piano), Gonçalo Gato (composer) and Melise Mellinger (violin).

Recordings at Casa da Música

Pianist Alexander Soares and recording engineer Hugo Romano Guimarães joined me at Casa da Música in late July 2019 to record the piece NowState, premiered last January at the Southbank Centre. Among other pieces, it will feature on a CD, the details of which will follow as soon as the project becomes more consolidated. Here are some pictures from the session at the wonderful Sala Suggia (Casa’s main concert hall), taken by photographer Vitorino Coragem. I deeply thank António Jorge Pacheco, Júlio Moreira and all at Casa da Música management for this wonderful opportunity.
